Neuro-ID Taps Jeffrey Shu for Customer Insights, Growth and Strategy

July 19, 2021 – Whitefish, MT – Neuro-ID recently announced the addition of Jeffrey Shu, industry veteran and customer-side expert as their new VP of Finance and Strategy.

Prior to joining Neuro-ID, Jeffrey had responsibilities in Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at Very Good Security. At Affirm he was a Financial Partnerships Lead, along with wearing many other finance hats (FP&A, Capital Markets, Corporate Development, & the FDIC Bank application). 

He is currently a Partner at Xffirmers, the Affirm alumni syndicate where he makes investments in innovative fintech/b2b solutions globally. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of California, San Diego where he was an NCAA track and field student-athlete (shot put and discus).

The people, technology, and opportunity to build something innovative in the market. The people on this team are world-class. I had the first-hand experience of buying the Neuro-ID software when I was at Affirm and saw the insightfulness, attentiveness, and execution. The core technology of measuring friction/behavior is a game-changer for the fraud stack, and it has so many more use cases.

What Do You Think Your Experience Will Bring To The Team?

Having been a customer, partner, and advisor to the company – I am excited about setting up Neuro-ID for hyper-growth. In the finance role, it’s about setting up the guard rails for us to aggressively grow and understanding the levers that executives can pull while making decisions. On the strategy/BD side, I’m excited to reconnect with former colleagues, investors, and prospects globally to help the market better understand the value of behavioral data as it pertains to multiple parts of their business.

What Are You Most Excited About In Your Role At Neuro-ID?

I am excited to partner with my Neuro-ID teammates and build a global company at scale. We are the category creators in the space and it’s on us to deliver against that.  Finance and Strategy will play a key role in supporting the various functional leaders in achieving their objectives and driving overall alignment.

  • I’ve had the good fortune of visiting all 7 continents.
  • I am a big fan of “type II fun”. When traveling, I’ll often do something active (hike, bike, yoga) followed by some good food. Always looking for a cycling buddy, for those interested in a biking a few laps in central park – give me a ring.
